Why does my dslr say busy
Oct 28, 3. Probably either the buffer is full and it has to make space writing to the card or the flash needs recharging or cooling down.

Oct 28, 1 Ill be taking my pictures, and my camera will just say busy and wont let me take a picture! Oct 28, 2 Sounds like you taking bursts of pictures and the camera is "busy" as it clears its buffer and writes the files to the memory card.
First, you have to use the controls on the flash itself; control from the camera is very limited. Secondly, the early auto-zoom EX flashes do not understand about crop factor, and will set the beam angle as if for FF, which is fail-safe but does not concentrate the light fully effectively — but you can set the zoom manually, of course. I've been using my Speedlite which has very limited controls with Powershots successfully, adjusting power output from the camera's menus.
Zoom seems to work fine with them. To be seen with EOS. It should work in E-TTL mode when you put it in slave mode and place it reasonably close to the camera, or hold it in your hand, and set the camera to trigger remote flashes.
But it will not allow you to set it at manual power levels on top of the camera, not will it permit you to change settings on the flash without actually touching the flash - no remote control settings changes.
Of coure, if this message appears when you are taking pictures outdoors and you do not have the flash raised, then it isn't the flash recycling. If that's the case then it seems you do have a problem - however try a shot or two in AV or TV mode before you jump to conclusions. You'll never find hairs on a duck's egg, you will always find hairs on an ape. It is only the hairs on a gooseberry what stops it from being a grape.
This is exactly the problem. It happens without the flash being raised. However, I returned the camera, got a second camera and it has the same problem.
I mean, just shooting one picture, outdoors with a lot of light, it gives me the error. It does let me take the picture, but it shows the error, and I am concerned about an error showing up on a brand-new camera I called Canon support, but they don't know what's going on. We'll need a little more information than you have provided to answer your question. Do you have Long Exposure Noise Reduction enable? What exposure mode are you using? What kind of environment? Very hot? Very cold? Normal room temperature? I thought I commented last night but try with a different memory card SD card in your camera I think.
If you don't have a spare try cleaning the contacts on the card itself and reformatting it in the camera. Thanks, Michael and Chris. I think that issue with my memory card, let me change and check.
